Who is Musco Sports Lighting?

Musco

Musco Sports Lighting offers complete solutions for both permanent and temporary lighting needs. Musco lights neighborhood ball fields to NASCAR superspeedways to the fast-paced world of sports broadcasting and the entertainment industry.

Working with organizations such as Amateur Softball Association, Babe Ruth League, Disney, England and Wales Cricket Board, Little League Baseball® and Softball, Major League Baseball, NASCAR and the NBA, Musco has played a key role in developing guidelines for safe, efficient sports facilities. Musco is a Major Partner with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA); provides the Official Sports-Lighting System for Little League Baseball® and Softball and was selected to light Disney’s Wide World of Sports™ Complex — a state-of-the-art 200-acre complex with facilities for more than 30 sports — located in the greater Orlando, Florida area in the United States.

ABC, CBS, NBC, TBS, TNN, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports, SkyTV, CBC and Channel 9 (Australia) have relied on Musco to provide quality lighting to meet their special needs, including their worldwide television broadcasts of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the 1999 Pan Am Games, and five Super Bowls.

Why is Musco interested in Lighting Technologies?

Since 1999, Musco has worked with Lighting Technologies to significantly revamp their internal lighting design tools. Based in part on Lumen Designer, LTI has developed a powerful software system to efficiently and accurately design their wide variety of sports lighting projects. Additionally, this system is integrated into their sales and manufacturing processes. The result is a significant industry advantage for speed, quality, and accuracy of their solutions.

In addition to the lighting design software, LTI has a very strong background in optical design consulting and expertise. This offers Musco additional advantages for future products and technologies.

Based on these two key factors, Musco decided to make an offer to bring LTI's technology and resources in-house.

LTI Customer Questions

I own Photopia, how does this affect me?

Currently, this transition will have no impact on the service or support that LTI provides to you. Additionally, we are committed to enhancing and supporting the industry's leading optical design software, Photopia, for the long-term. To that end, we are pleased to announce that a new company, LTI Optics, has been formed to carry-on Photopia and our optical design consulting services as an independent entity.

The formation of LTI Optics will allow us to dedicate resource to Photopia, additional library developments, and optical design consulting to keep up with the increasing demand. As a Photopia customer, you should see an even greater level of service.

The optical staff of LTI Optics includes Mark Jongewaard, Ryan Kelley and Meg Podlogar. Other staff from LTI who have been involved with the development of Photopia will stay involved through 2008.

LTI Optics will be operating as an independent entity and will maintain its confidential relationships with customers just as Lighting Technologies has always done. LTI Optics will maintain its current office combined with the staff from LTI through 2008 and move to a new independent location at the start of 2009. LTI Optics will also continue to participate at LightFair.

I own Lumen Designer, how does this affect me?

We will continue to service and support our Lumen Designer customers through June of 2008. Thereafter, we will no longer provide technical support. After June 2008 licensing support will be provided by LTI Optics.

I own Simply Lighting and/or Lumen Micro, how does this affect me?
