| Step
#1 : Define your Site
You
can import an existing DXF/DWG file for your site, or
enter the site extents and draw any background objects
within the CAD system. |
 |
| Step
#2 : Define your Grid and Design Criteria
Enter
the spacing for your grid points and a grid height.
Enter the required light levels for the design (minimum
and/or average). You can mask points that you don't
want included in the calculations. |
 |
| Step
#3 : Select your luminaire and pole type
Specify
the luminaire you wish to use from LTI's industry-wide
product database (included), or select a loose photometric
file. Define the head configuration and the pole size.
You can add several product types to your schedule
and add them as needed to your design.
Step
#4 : Create Layout
Use
Simply Outdoor's state-of-the-art automatic layout tools
to create perimeter-based lighting or arrayed lighting
over a large area. Simply Outdoor will optimize the
pole spacing to meet your design criteria.
A
design that meets all design criteria can be produced
in just a few minutes. All grid statistics are updated
in real-time and shown just below the CAD view. |

|
| Step
#5 : View Results and Modify (as needed)
Review
the results. Add or remove additional poles, alter locations,
change aiming, etc. All changes are updated in real-time
for instant feedback.
You
can use shaded plots, contours, or color-coded text
values (shown at right). For color-coded text values,
'green' is used to indicate that the lighting value
is at or exceeds the design criteria. |
 |
| Step
#6 : Output
Select
from several pre-defined output pages including a single-page
summary that includes a scaled CAD view. |
