Q: How should educational institutions
submit site codes?
A:
Licensing Lumen Micro:
- Run Lumen Micro. Select Help | About/Licensing. On the
following screen, click the Licensing button.
- Please provide your name, your institution's
name, address, phone number and the kind of license you
are requesting
(student's personal computer, lab computer or teacher's
computer). If your computer is a laptop you must check
the "Is this computer a laptop?" box. Lumen-Micro will
create a unique Site Code for each computer onto which it
is installed. Please e-mail or fax this Site Code
to us and we will return to you the Site Key. E-mail
requests are preferred.
- Lab licenses - It is recommended that site codes
be submitted in a single list associating each with
a computer name. There is less margin for error if you
copy and paste the Site Codes from the Site
Code text box into your document.
- Permanent or teaching licenses - list the Site
codes along with the user's name.
- Student's personal computers - This is the only time
students may contact support directly. Use the same
authorization process as noted above.
- Enter the Site Keys we provide you into the corresponding
cell making sure to match the appropriate Site Keys
with the appropriate computers. Once again there is less
margin for error if you copy and paste the Site Keys
from your e-mail document into the corresponding cell.
- Your copy of Lumen Micro is now authorized. Please contact
our technical support staff if you have any difficulty authorizing
your program.
