FAQ : Lumen Micro Rendering

Q: When I try to save or print a rendering, I get the message, "Unable to share rendering context with temp rendering context." What does this mean?

A: This problem is a result of an incompatibility within the system graphics card. Perform the instructions outlined below:

  1. Update your video card driver by going to the web page of your video card's manufacturer. This is essential, even if you have a new card.
  2. If updating does not work, go to the Control Panel ... Display ... Settings and look for controllers to your video card's accelerators. Turn the accelerators down or off. Note: This type of control may not be available for all video card drivers.
  3. If turning the accelerators down or off does not work, change your color settings to a lower number of colors, at least while running Lumen Micro. You do not need to reboot for the changes to take affect. Turn the colors down one step at a time and try to perform the rendering functions that would lead to error. You may need to step all the way down to 256 colors.
  4. It is also a good idea to update Lumen Micro to the latest build. See Updating Lumen Micro.
