Overview

Lighting Technologies' offers in-depth product seminars for Lumen Designer and Photopia. These comprehensive seminars give you hands-on experience using real-world projects. You can attend a group seminar or arrange a private seminar for your company.

Lumen Designer Group Training Seminars

Lumen Designer Group Training Seminars are designed to give you a broad understanding of the software and how to use it to properly analyze lighting applications. These multi-day seminars offer a unique opportunity for a hands-on, in-depth look at the software under the guidance of LTI trainers. You'll also gain a much broader understanding of lighting fundamentals, the calculation of light, and the visualization of an architectural space. Plus, attendees receive a 1-year Premium Technical Support contract ($295 value)

General topics covered:

• Brief overview of lighting fundamentals
• Overview of Lumen Designer
• Analysis of a basic indoor project
• Analysis of more complex projects to learn several features:
  • Use of Designer Wizards
  • DXF / DWG import and export
  • Assignment of materials to existing DXF / DWG entities
  • Use of Object and Luminaire libraries
  • Advanced calculation grids
  • Daylighting analysis
  • High-impact renderings
  • Professional output
• Tips, tricks, and techniques
• Open workshop

Computers are provided for all attendees for hands-on training. Snacks and refreshments are also provided.

Schedule / Registration

Lumen Designer : Group Seminars - 2 1/2 days plus 1/2 day working with attendees on their projects (bring your own project to discuss and work on with the LTI trainers).

Group Seminar Pricing

Group seminar pricing is specific to each location and date. Please select the specific seminar you are interested in from the Schedule. If you are interested in a seminar for your company (one or more attendees) please review our Private Seminar options as well - in many cases, these may be more cost-effective.

Private Seminars

These seminars are developed to provide focused training on the topics that you are most interested in. These seminars can be scheduled here at LTI or at your office. The costs for these seminars are defined below:

Lumen Designer / Lumen Micro / Simply Lighting

* Multiple attendee discounts apply to people from the same company or by prior arrangement.

• Seminar cost depends upon the number of participants.
• Student transportation and accommodations not included.
• Transportation, accommodations, and meals billed as direct costs for off-site training.
• Payment terms of net 10 days are offered for purchases over $1000, otherwise payment is due upon seminar commencement. Company check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, or wire transfer.

Photopia

Photopia training covers the following topics:

• Illumination fundamentals and terminology
• How Photopia works
• Directional reflectance
• Luminaire modeling
• Constructing a luminaire in AutoCAD
• Analyzing the luminaire in Photopia
• Viewing and printing the photometric output
• Understanding the data in the photometric report
• Lamp modeling
• Reviewing your specific interests and examples

Two and three-day seminars are available. The third day is typically devoted to specific design problems that you are particularly interested in.
